We get to see our fair share of incredible sights working at Goodwood. Everything from the Russian Kamaz drift truck to Valentino Rossi riding his motorbike through the Goodwood House. However, something America seems to do that we’ll never be able to compete with is extraordinary levels of horsepower. Yes, that Kamaz drift truck may have had over 1,000PS (735kW), but that pales in comparison to ‘Shockwave the Jet Truck.’
It’s about as subtle as its name suggests. ‘Shockwave’ somehow manages to produce a whopping 60,000PS (44,129kW). Just to clarify, we’re not talking about a highly tuned 2JZ engine here, more of an actual jet engine strapped to the back of a truck.
In the most American video you’ll likely see today, Shockwave is in a drag race with another jet truck. Before they’re both launched up the strip, they force the local meteorologist to rip up their weather notes by producing their own clouds. We don’t want to make any assumptions, but we’ve got our doubts that ‘Shockwave’ would pass the Euro 6 emissions standards.
Ignoring the MPG, it’s time to sit back, order a 24oz steak, kick those cowboy boots off and watch the most ridiculous video.
