Do you miss the way Formula 1 cars used to sound? The way they should still sound in fact? Well this video suggests that a Pagani Huayra R might be the next best thing.
The track-only version of the Huayra is seen here testing at Monza and its V12 engine sure sounds a lot like the naturally aspirated, non-hybrid F1 cars we grew up loving. Freed from road car constraints that engine is Pagani’s (well, AMG's) most powerful ever, producing 850PS (625kW) and 750Nm (553lb ft) with a 9,000rpm redline. The car in this video is equipped with silencers allowing it to run on noise restricted tracks so we can only imagine what the full straight-pipe symphony is like.
Welcome to Goodwood Elevenses, a mid-morning helping of motoring-related amusement to help break up your day. Watch the last video: AMG Project One, Bugatti Centodieci spied on the 'Ring.
