Racing motorbikes on the Isle of Man is widely considered one of the most dangerous and exhilarating motorsports in the world. From any angle it’s just a full-on adrenaline rush. Whether you’re in the crowds watching on or following the coverage on TV, you’re always entertained. However, if you really want to know what it feels like to race in one of the most dangerous races in the world, then you’re in luck – join Jamie Coward (never has there been a less fitting surname) onboard as he starts the 2022 Southern 100 Road Race.
On his 600cc Yamaha, Jamie gets off to a bad start and then hunts down the 2021 solo champion, Dean Harrison and star of the future Davey Todd in some heart-racing footage. No matter how many times we watch Isle of Man footage, we’ll never get over how close the riders are to the brick walls as they lean into very high-speed corners. Just about as brave as they come.
