Think you’ve seen mud? Been out in the countryside on a weekend and struggled to get your car out of a slightly damp car park? Well, you have seen absolutely nothing – as this video will prove.
To be totally honest, we have absolutely no idea what is going on here, where this competition is or, really, what the purpose is. But it’s pretty entertaining to watch some very purpose built – and rebuilt – machines tackle more mud than we think we’ll ever see in a lifetime (or a weekend at Glastonbury).
So heavy is the mud, that even these machines, which look like they are ready and prepared for anything, struggle at times, with the drivers, co-drivers or both getting out to wade through the extraordinary quagmire and loop winches round some rather overworked trees. At one point it turns into what must be the world’s slowest traffic jam.
If you do know what this is, and where we can go and have a go, please do let us know in the comments. And especially if you fancy being the co-driver/winch operative…
