We’ve all fancied ourselves as a dab hand at rally games in the past. Whether it was back in the early days of Colin McRae Rally, or perhaps more recently with the likes of Dirt, or this latest entry into the WRC series of officially licenced games, WRC Generations.
The trouble is, most of us have probably only ever played on a controller, or maybe a wheel and pedals if we’re feeling fancy. We’d say it’s unlikely many players of rally games have regular access to a rig like this – one that simulates G-force and flings you around while you’re trying to simultaneously control the steering wheel and change gear.
It looks like hard work. But it also looks like incredible fun. Going home and picking up the controller is going to feel very sterile indeed now…
