Fast cars going fast can produce many different reactions. If it’s a Ford Focus ST on the A27 at 23:00 it’s probably an angry one from an officer of the law, but if it’s a spirited track day then your mates are probably congratulating you.
But then there’s the reaction that spectators at Rally Finland have when a top-level WRC car goes flying past at speeds that are scarcely believable, which can only really be described as unbridled joy.
And, let’s be honest, who could blame them? There’s little in this world as exhilarating as watching a rally car blast by at absolute max send, and in this video all we get are full sends.
Featuring all of the latest WRC machines on the limit of their rev ranges through the Finnish forests, this is just another advert for the fact that everyone should trek into a forest to watch rally machines at least once a year. It’s also a better exhibition of the true speed of these incredible machines than TV cameras can produce.
