If you come to us, the people who run Goodwood's own independent motoring website and tell us you have a video of a Can-Am machine off-road in the snow... we will give you a look that tells you exactly how daft we think you are.
But that is what this is. Except, it obviously isn't. Can-Am is a company that makes off-road buggies, Maverick is a buggy they make and yes this video is off-road in the snow, but if you tried to enter this Can-Am machine into the Canadian American Challenge in the 1960s, it just wouldn't do very well.
But, nor would a Lola T70 do particularly well if it tried to take on a track day on an off-road snow course in the middle of a forest in Michigan. This is what the Maverick X3 does in the hands of driver Piotr Fetela in this here video.
But you could tell all of that from a) the video title and b) watching it. So why are we sharing it? Well, because if you let the video roll on, you'll see that after really not very long, Piotr isn't just driving the Maverick around the snow banks offered to him. He's attacking them with absolutely zero fear.
Some proper levels of brave pills were downed before this clip was filmed, with the driver scarcely bothering the brake pedal, no matter what appears to be coming up in front – or more often to the side. Car control – this is it.
