There will be no shortage of new supercars at the Geneva Motor Show when the doors open on March 7th this year, including this one, the all-new, all-electric Dendrobium from, of all places, Singapore.
Before you ask, Dendrobium is a type of orchid native to Singapore and the car represents a flowering (get it?) of the latest electric technology in the hypercar class. It comes from Singaporean electric delivery van specialists Vanda Electrics.
Don’t scoff though, because the concept to make its debut in Geneva has been designed and built by Williams Advanced Engineering (recent project Jaguar C-X75) so odds are it will look great (as the first teaser images suggest) and go well. Very well indeed.
Singapore’s first (only?) high-performance two-seater is also promising plenty of supercar drama, with its automatic opening roof and doors – said to resemble the opening of the aforementioned Dendrobium flower. We await the video with baited breath…
Vanda CEO Larissa Tan says: “The Dendrobium is inspired by nature and rooted in technology, a marriage of design and engineering. I can’t wait to reveal the car to the world in March.”
