Alpine is preparing to launch another addition to its fabled A110 range. The A110 R –the R stands for Radical – will be unveiled before the Japanese Grand Prix on 4th October 2022, and is promised to be the most extreme version of the sportscar we’ve seen thus far.
Details are thin on the ground for now, but what we do know is that this more extreme, lightweight version of the A110 will be the new pinnacle of the range, sitting above the standard model the A110 S and A110 GT.
A collection of graphics also seem to suggest the A110 R could well be a stripped out track-ready machine, with a bespoke front-end splitter, lightweight bodywork, side-skirts, diffuser and rear wing along with adjustments to the brakes and suspension and sports seats complete with five-point harneses. For all intents and purposes, this looks like it could be one last petrol-powered hurrah for one of our favourite sportscars.
Following the initial reveal next week, the A110 R will be appearing at the Paris Motor Show from 17th October.
