The latest Diavel boasts 162bhp, ABS brakes, traction control and a chassis set up to deliver high-precision handling but also comfort for day-to-day use. It also comes with an authentic vintage craft look, featuring hand-brushed stainless steel superstructure with visible welding and rivets, and a leather saddle.
The vintage look is further distinguished by red methacrylate air intake covers with the Diesel logo, red Brembo front brake callipers and a red LCD dashboard which recalls vintage displays. The Diavel Diesel’s exhaust system has a black Zircotec ceramic coating and black silencers with ends machined from solid.
Ducati says the bike was “inspired by a hyperkinetic dynamism of a post-apocalyptic, retro-futuristic world”. We think it’s just gorgeous.
And, as if you hadn’t already guessed, it is most definitely petrol powered…
The bike is a collaboration between Ducati and the jeans company Diesel and is intended to celebrate the two Italian companies’ shared roots and DNA.
The new Diavel Diesel was unveiled this week at Milan Men’s Fashion Week. Each bike features a numbered plaque and the motto: Never look back.
