Is the standard 1,000PS (735kW) Ferrari SF90 just not enough Ferrari for you? Fear not. Famed Ferrari fettler Novitec Rosso has gotten hold of one and turned the wick up to 1,109PS (816kW). The bump in power as ever with Novitec joins a number of styling and handling tweaks too.

The boost in juice comes from Novitec’s ECU, which push the ignition and injection systems further in addition to running the twin turbochargers more aggressively. These work in tandem with the Novitec exhaust system, which also boosts the SF90’s vocal range.

While around 100PS doesn’t seem like the biggest boost, the numbers are impressive, with a fairly trivial 0.1-second boost to 62mph – 2.4 seconds – being joined by a very significant 0.4-second reduction to 124mph – 6.3 seconds. Handling the extra boost in power is a 30mm and 25mm respective drop in ride height front and rear thanks to new springs.

New 21-inch wheels are a major aesthetic upgrade to let everyone know you’ve got a Novitec-fettled car, in addition to new vented front wings and carbon accoutrements on the hood, splitter, wing and diffuser. All in all, it’s far from the most aggressive thing Novitec has ever made but a nice boost in visual attitude. There’s no flat pricing given the variations in specification most buyers go for, but we expect a whole car won’t leave you change from £500,000.
