The Mansory Cabrera is the Lamborghini Aventador nobody asked for
At last, the Lamborghini Aventador has been given what the model has always sorely lacked: a bit of on road presence, courtesy of Mansory. Say hello to the Mansory Cabrera.
Obviously, in keeping with most Lamborghinis, the Aventador had always been the most shy and retiring of mid-engined V12 supercars, subtly and quietly going about its business and by no means causing jaws to drop on the rare occasions it is seen in public.
Thankfully Mansory, that most tasteful of tuners, was equal to the task and took as its starting point the most extreme of the Aventador variants, the SVJ and turned it into the very limited edition Cabrera.
We here at Goodwood Road & Racing recently tested the Aventador SVJ, and we didn’t really feel that the Aventador was lacking in either width or power but Mansory has seen fit to add to both. A fully carbon fibre body adds an inch and a half over the standard car as well as increasing airflow to the radiators, intake and brakes.
A double diffuser and even larger rear wing add to the downforce which is probably a good thing as the output of the 6.5-litre V12 has been upped by 39bhp and 60Nm (44lb ft) to 799bhp and 779Nm (575lb ft), enough to drop the 62mph dash to 2.6 seconds and raise top speed to 220mph.
Named after a famous line of fighting bulls, the Cabrera will be limited to just three examples all finished in ‘Vento Verde’ and with new headlights, wheels, quad exhaust and unique carbon fibre weave to help distinguish it over the standard SVJ. The cabin somehow manages to be even less restrained than the exterior by being trimmed in acid green and swapping the Lamborghini badge for a Cabrera one, just in case you forgot.
