Triumph launches No Time To Die special edition

Licence to thrill – the Tiger 900 Rally Pro has plenty, but the latest special edition to join the British manufacturer’s line-up has bucketloads of Bond’s licence to kill.

Launched last week, the limited-edition Tiger 900 Bond Edition model celebrates the partnership between the two British icons, which saw both the 900 Rally Pro and the Scrambler 1200 used in stunt sequences for the 25^th James Bond instalment, No Time To Die.

Premiering tonight at the Royal Albert Hall, Daniel Craig’s last Bond movie sees the spy’s tranquil retirement thrown back into chaos when an old CIA friend asks him to help rescue a kidnapped scientist. Modern technology combines with the franchise’s archetypal action scenes, in which two of Triumph most popular motorcycles take a starring role.

With the Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition, which was unveiled last year, long sold out, this is a chance for ardent fans to get their hands on a true piece of motorcycle movie memorabilia. And what a bike it is. Powered by the Tiger’s 95PS (70kW) 888cc triple and boasting its extensive equipment list, the paint scheme is swapped for a matt black, with murdered out effects featuring across the bike, including on the sump guard, auxiliary lamp shrouds and engine guards. Bronze 007 graphics stand proud on the tank, while a premium, billet machined handlebar clamp, boasts each bike’s unique limited-edition number. Unique Bond Edition branding features on the heated rider and pillion seat, while a bespoke 007 start-up screen welcomes the rider.

Strictly limited to just 250 motorcycles, the limited-edition Tiger 900 will cost £16,500 – £3,000 more than the Rally Pro. Supplied with the bike is a pair of Michelin Anakee Wild off-road tyres (in addition to the factory Bridgestone Battlax), and a premium Arrow Silencer, with a lightweight brushed stainless steel body and carbon end cap.

I honestly think it’s one of the best bikes I’ve ever ridden, it’s fantastic.”
