While the ‘full send’ scale may be contentious, there’s not denying that this epic McLaren Senna ‘ring run is all but off the chart.
Climb aboard with YouTuber Misha Charoudin as he joins a mysterious British driver in what looks like one of the hardest drives of one of these three-quarter million pound cars there has been outside of McLaren.
With Maverick Sabre’s ‘Slow Down’ playing ironically on the inbuilt stereo (disturbed occasionally by the voice recognition software triggered by the engine…), the driver makes light work of the 14.2-mile circuit, passing other cars as if they’re stationary. Despite rain, traffic and the occasional diversion from the perfect line (according to the driver himself), it’s a properly blistering lap.
Signing off, Charoudin calls it “the most ballistic lap of the year”, and tongue-in-cheek remarks: “It’s awesome to – no offence to Schmee – but to finally experience what Senna can do when you step on it a bit more…”
