The BMW Z4 M was in production from 2006-2008, and in that relatively short time, it made a name for itself as a soulful extravaganza of high-performance motoring that pumped some life into a decaying lineage of BMW sportscars.
A direct descendant of the memorable yet less-than-perfect BMW Z3 M Coupe, the Z4 M does carry over several traits, but by all accounts, was a more well-rounded package when it came to performance both in a straight line and around corners.
While it was never on the level of say a Porsche Cayman when it comes to out-and-out engineering brilliance, it was, at the time, a relatively affordable alternative that had one very important trick up its sleeve: that sumptuous S54 3.2-litre inline-six engine.
Producing more than 340PS (250kW) and 365Nm (269 lb-ft) of torque, 0-62mph was possible in around five seconds, which makes this compact, two-seater sportscar no slouch. BMW Z4 M used prices remain relatively contained for the time being, making this the perfect time for you to snap up a good deal.
