Video: Can the Rimac C_Two drift?

‘But will it…’ are three words that usually precede trouble. As we learnt back in the noughties, no, not everything will blend.

But when the question is drifting, and the subject a 1,940PS, 2.300 Nm Rimac C_Two, all of a sudden, the outcome seems much more probable.

And as this YouTube clip, courtesy of RimacAutomobili itself shows, yes it will drift and yes it absolutely should.

Join the engineering team, headed up by Mate Rimac himself, in the board room as they discuss the intricacies of vehicle dynamics. Adamant that the car be able to ‘drift and slide and drive really well on its own’ without any electronic intervention, Mate turns to who we assume is the resident test driver and demands ‘show us’.

Cue some serious, smokey, sideways action, performed by said professional driver and without any driver aids. The video’s description attributes the C_Two’s incredible performance to its huge power output, with various advanced driver assist systems including Rimac All Wheel Torque Vectoring (R-AWTV) available on demand.
