Video: CES 2020 Preview – five automotive tech debuts
CES is the show at which exciting new technologies are launched, the tech that we can expect to see creeping into our lives in the coming years. Organised by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and held at the Las Vegas Convention Center every January, it attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors in the space of just five days.
Where once cars were an unlikely find at CES, the show has begun to feature more and more driver-centric technologies in recent years. 2020 looks set to be more interesting than ever before, with everything from virtual reality configurators and driving aids to autonomous driving tech in store.

Making our favourites list is a speccing simulator from Unity, which promises to allow you to virtually explore your new car while specifying it. Also featuring is tech from German firm Bertrandt and its new Harri platform, as well as Continental’s see-through bonnet, with four cameras allowing the driver to see obstacles and terrain that would otherwise be hidden.
CES doesn’t have quit the same buzz around it as an Apple product launch, but when it comes to variety few places come close.
