Do you remember the 1990s? Those glorious years of sleek sedans and pop up headlights? The last decade of the 20th century marked the rebirth of the supercar, after the oil crisis chaos of the preceding two decades. The Jaguar XJ220, McLaren F1 and Lamborghini Diablo were just some of the iconic models that emerged like phoenixes from the flames.
However, for all the successes, there were some equally strange designs, which failed to last the test of time. Cars based on Le Mans cars, for example, and even one with a pop DJ's name on it. Chances are you won’t remember, or even recognise many of these, so we’ve compiled a list of the five weirdest 1990s supercars, from the Cizeta V16T to the MTX Tatra V8.
