The Bentley Batur is the ultra-exclusive Mulliner division’s second coachbuilt creation following the Bacalar of last year. It’s intended as the beginning of the crescendo for the legendary W12 engine, which will come next year having been in service for two decades.
Debuting at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, our team got up close and personal with this monster of a machine, which among celebrating the W12 in 740PS form, also previews where Bentley’s design direction is to go next. It’s certainly equal parts elegant and sporty.
“The Batur is a significant car for Bentley,” said Bentley Chairman Adrian Hallmark.
“Far more than the heir to the highly successful Bacalar, the Batur showcases the design direction that we’re taking in the future as we develop our range of BEVs. Andi Mindt and his team have reimagined the classic Bentley design cues to a stronger, bolder design that remains both elegant and graceful.”
