The car is a Honda S2000, and the camera is mounted facing forward with an excellent view of the rear left corner. As the car turns left and right you can see the tyre sidewall flexing to the point where you’ll be convinced it’s simply going to fly of the wheel, and when the driver enjoys a little doughnut (because S2000) you get a front row seat. While we expected to see some torture when the going gets more smokey, what we simply didn’t expect to see so much movement under every day loads, with the tyre flexing to some significant extent even when just changing lanes.
We probably all owe an apology to our hard working rubber it turns out. We'll never look at our tyres in the same way again.
