Video: How Frank Stephenson designed the Escort RS Cosworth’s spoiler

The 60-year-old is famed for his work on some of the most iconic cars from the past few decades, including the Mini, Fiat 500 and countless Ferrari and McLaren supercars. And as have many others, Stephenson has taken up a lockdown project, and we can’t get enough! His ‘How I designed...’ series sees the British-Spanish-American automobile designer talk viewers through the process that saw him create his masterpieces.
We’re particularly loving the Ford Escort Cosworth clip, in which Stephenson sketches the car to the camera, explaining the aerodynamic logic behind the famous spoiler.
