It’s far from breaking news that the 1,000PS (735kW) Ferrari SF90 Stradale is ruddy fast. It’s the closest thing we’ve yet seen to a series production hypercar for goodness sake. It has nothing to prove and yet, prove its pace it has, with a new production car lap record around Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Watch as this SF90 Assetto Fiorano gets absolutely hustled around Indy (not the oval configuration), peaking at 174.54mph on the way to a 1m 29.625s record time. This sensational drive took place during one of Ferrari’s Racing Days at Indy earlier in July, where it was joined by other more extreme track-only machines from the marque’s catalogue.
