We are fortunate to test drive a range of beautiful machines here at Goodwood Road & Racing but never anything quite as special as this Alfa Romeo 8C Monza. This clip is courtesy of Jim Stokes Workshops, one of the world's premier Alfa Romeo restorers based just down the road from the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
The Alfa Romeo 8C was built throughout the 1930s and was effectively a number of beautiful road and racing cars powered by a supercharged straight-eight of varying capacity. The Monza name was added to the short wheelbase model after it won the 1931 Italian Grand Prix.
Looking incredibly beautiful in the lovely Hampshire countryside, the view down the bonnet is hard to beat whether the car is burbling through sleep villages or screaming along country lanes.
