You could buy a brand new Bizzarrini

Built using original blueprints, with original suppliers and using input from experts involved in the original project, these Revivals are almost entirely authentic to the originals. We say almost, because certain changes have been made in the name of safety, such as a redesigned fuel tank. The cars will be based on the specification of the 1965 Le Mans class-winner, chassis 0222, which was driven to over 5.0-litre class glory by Regis Fraissinet and Jean de Mortemart. The car, which also finished ninth overall, was then driven home to Northern Italy, right after the race, by Giotto Bizzarrini himself.

A run of 24 cars will be hand-built either to fully historic racing-compliant specs with glass fibre bodies or, should the buyer desire, with a full carbon-fibre body. Power comes courtesy of a 5.3-litre V8 putting out over 400PS (294kW). In standard race-ready specification, the Revival will weigh 1,250kg. First deliveries will be taking place in May 2022.

“We were thrilled with the car’s performance during endurance testing. Now, as we complete the process of building the cars for our customers throughout the world, we are refining the initial engineering and design proposals for our modern supercar. Utilising the very latest technologies, and built with the ethos, passion and values of our founding genius, this will truly be a Bizzarrini for a new generation.”

Sounds like these 24 Bizzarrini Revivals won’t be the last we hear of this storied Italian name. Watch this space…
