Vincent Ho, whose profile has sky-rocketed through his partnership with Golden Sixty, will return to ride in Britain this summer. Ho was due to make his debut at Goodwood Racecourse last summer but unfortunately having suffered a heavy fall in Japan had to postpone his trip to the UK.

The Hong Kong star jockey, 33, last rode in Britain in August 2019 when a short stay yielded six winners from 22 rides, including success at the Shergar Cup to help the Rest of the World team secure victory.

A year earlier, Ho made his British debut a memorable one by winning on his first ride in the country on the Mark Johnston-trained X Rated at Haydock. He will return to the UK to ride for trainer Charlie Johnston ahead of the Qatar Goodwood Festival.

Ho said: “I’ll ride for Charlie Johnston and I’ll go to Goodwood for a week – it will be a great experience. After Goodwood I’ll be in the UK for another two weeks – I’ll spend about a month there,” he said.

“After the UK I’m going to Japan for the jockey championship at the end of August. Riding with all the best jockeys and horses in the world will be good.”

Ho will be having his first rides at Goodwood and he has plenty of places to go for advice for riding at the track.

"It's always good to ride at new tracks, different surfaces, different horses, then you can fully trust your feelings," he said.

"I'll ask Silvestre [de Sousa] and Harry [Bentley] about it and in Goodwood there's also plenty of great jockeys. Ryan [Moore] will be there and if I ask him, he'll always give me good advice. I've watched it live and I'll watch some more videos and learn more about it.

"I improved the most after my trip to Britain and had great support from Mr Johnston before and hopefully this trip will be the same. It will make me a better horseman."
