The Kennels wedding
“When we made the decision to get married, we had an image in our heads of a beautiful classic setting that would provide the intimate and stylish wedding we agreed was perfect for us.
From the moment we walked up to the entrance of The Kennels we knew that we had found the right place for our dream wedding and from our first meeting with the team everything fell easily into place.
Having visited the Goodwood Estate on numerous occasions including events at the racecourse we had always been impressed by the professional and organised staff. We also fell in love with the grand buildings set in such picturesque surroundings.
I spent the night prior to my wedding at The Goodwood Hotel, with my bridal party which included my daughter and her three closest friends.
We were looked after so well and we were able to spend the afternoon relaxing in the spa, followed by a very enjoyable evening meal in one of the excellent restaurants – The Goodwood Bar and Grill. This all added to the experience and helped to make the weekend both relaxing and memorable for all the right reasons.
We had 30 guests at our wedding and the ceremony was held in the Music Room at The Kennels followed by canapes and champagne in the Library. Our reception was in the Terrace Dining Room.
We were fortunate to be able to offer our guests a choice of three options for each course of our wedding breakfast. This included ale braised beef feather blade, roasted lamb haunch or wild mushroom and creamed leek tart as the main course. Our guests said it was a very difficult choice as each dish was amazing.
Overall, food was incredible, we could not have been more impressed with the options given and were delighted with the final choices we made! Everything was perfect from canapés to desserts it was beautifully presented and delicious.
After the wedding we all stayed another night at the hotel and enjoyed the appetising breakfast.
The highest praise should go to the team of staff who were on hand to help with every detail from our first visit right up until the end of our experience, - far too many to mention individually but together they ensured our wedding was perfect
The entire weekend was truly a magical experience and we cannot wait to come back for our anniversary every year.
