There’s a reason why the RAC TT Celebration is considered one of the highlights of the Goodwood Revival. Often referred to as the ‘blue riband’ race of the weekend, it’s very easy to see why this, among all of the historic motorsport going on over three glorious days, is revered quite so strongly.
It’s only at times like this, when the field is closed up behind the safety car, that you can really get a perspective of the motoring royalty that is on display. As the leaders file through the chicane for the restart, the list of cars speaks for itself. A Cobra leads a Cobra, leads an E-type leads a Cobra leads a Lister-Jaguar Coupe leads another two Cobras an E-type and a Corvette Sting Ray.
That list continues on all the way to the back of the queue. It’s just incredible that we get to see so many iconic machines on our Motor Circuit at the same time. You know what the best thing is? The 2022 Goodwood Revival begins tomorrow, which means there is plenty more action just like this only a few hours away.
