Video: In depth | 1,400PS Ford Mustang Mach-E

It’s a Mustang for sure, but unlike any that you’ve seen before… At the inaugural Goodwood SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard, the historic Motor Circuit welcomed something a little more modern in the form of Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 drift machine.

Already an impressive machine in its own right, Gittin Jr.  and his crack RTR team further developed the all-electric SUV to be able to run in rear-wheel-drive drift mode, four-wheel-drive drag and race mode and even front-wheel-drive.

And the result was spectacular, transforming the triple Formula Drift champion’s opinion on electric cars forever. Take ten and watch as the drifting legend slips and skids around the Circuit, competing conventionally and in the Gymkhana. Could the future of drifting be electric?
