We’re already eagerly awaiting the next race meeting at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, so we thought we’d take a look back at some action from the 81st Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport. That weekend provided plenty of thrilling on-track action, and this Lotus Elan 26R in particular was putting on quite the show during the Graham Hill Trophy.
This beautiful blue Lotus is the racing version of the Type 26 drop head coupé, and driver Nigel Greensall guided it around our track hitting speeds of over 130mph to put together what he reckons is the fastest lap ever set for this model at Goodwood, crossing the line with a time of 1:27:23. The video also showcases the Lotus in some pretty fierce competition with a Porsche 904 and a Shelby Cobra, with all three cars exchanging positions in a series of high-speed overtakes.
The Graham Hill Trophy features GT racers that raced at the original Tourist Trophies at Goodwood in the early 1960s. Ride onboard with Nigel as he flies through the laps on his way to a potential Goodwood record.
