GMA’s sophomore supercar, the T.33, made its dynamic debut at the 81st Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport. Where the T.50 is more inspired by and a debug of the McLaren F1, with its central seat and distinctive silhouette, the T.33 is an expansion on Gordon Murray’s road car vision.
And that vision is of the ultimate modern driver’s car that features ‘60s-inspired clean, elegant aesthetics. As a result, the T.33 looks more like the sort of cars that used to contest the Targa Florio, than other near-£2million supercars of today. And that to our minds is absolutely fantastic. The T.33 is a genuinely pretty car.
But of course, we knew that. What we didn’t quite know was how the revised V12 with its re-routed exhaust, reduced redline and engorged mid-range would sound, by comparison to the T.50s. It was perhaps a foregone conclusion but the world debut of mule car James at 81MM proved, it still sounds pretty epic.
