Of all the road rallies out there, it is the Carrera Panamericana that intruiges the GRR office, or at least me, the most.
We know what the Mille Miglia is like, we've seen plenty of videos from the Targas Tasmania and Florio. But the race across the centre of Mexico? Stories trickle across the ocean, but very few pieces of video evidence.
But, after a little bit of searching (otherwise known as YouTube's algorithm autoplaying it into our eyeballs) we've found a glorious showcase of what it's like. And the answer appears to be: glorious.
In the first few minutes we swing from BMW 2002 to big old Cadillac via Porsche 911 all sounding fantastic and looking resplendant in the Mexican sunshine.
They're also all in some spectacular liveries, suiting the tropical sun far more than a dreary drive through Autumnal West Sussex. And that's before we even get to the vivid Volkswagen Beetles that are taking part.
If you want to see what historic rallying looks like in Mexico, and why we've just fallen in love with an event we've never been to, this is the perfect clip.
