Call us biased, but the Goodwood circuit has to be one of our favourites for a speedy YouTube hot lap. And this epic three-angle onboard from Part 2 of the 2013 Revival’s St Mary’s Trophy is one of the finest – despite looking a little like it was filmed on a potato (we can thank 2013 action cameras quality for that).
Join Revival regular Bill Shepherd in his lightweight 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 – an ex-Alan Mann, Tour de France car, no less – as he attempts to gain 22 seconds lost during the first part of the 1960s production-based saloon race.
From the nose lifting as Shepherd speeds away from the startline to his perfect lines and unrivalled track domination, there’s so much that’s right about this video. And luckily, the shoddy video quality hasn’t affected the sound, so we can still revel in the glorious growl of a huge American V8.
Welcome to Goodwood Elevenses, a mid-morning helping of motoring-related amusement to help break up your day. Watch the last video: Always meet your heroes, especially if it’s a Group C Sauber‑Mercedes C9
