Yesterday we brought you an epic RSR vs. RSR battle at Daytona, and today we're going to focus on the modern iteration of the iconic model. And goodness, does it sound good.
Join 19Bozzy92 on the sidelines of Monza as a pair of RSR-19s are put through their paces, screaming around the 3.6-mile circuit. While the YouTuber filmed a pair of '2019/2020' spec GTE racers back in August, complete with a revised body kit and upgraded 4.2-litre flat-six engine, he believes the cars spotted testing in November are even further developed. They are given away by the central-rear exhaust, he claims, which is “similar to the one on the infamous screaming RSR 2017”.
“Thanks to being back to a rear-central layout, the cars have in fact regained the high-pitched sound we all love and loved but sound level is quite far from the 2017-spec cars,” he commented. “It's in a good middle way between these and the GT3-class 911 GT3 R, to be fair.”
Having watched the video, we can confirm: they sound ruddy brilliant.
