The Porsche 911 GT3 comes in two flavours. Lairy and not so. Except that’s not true. Yes, the 911 GT3 Touring comes without the big rear wing, but there’s actually very little else to differentiate the two cars.
So it’s more lairy and not-quite-so-lairy-but-still-pretty-lairy-just-less-downforce. Which you might think would render the GT3 Touring pretty pointless. But is that actually the truth? Given that we’d already driven the GT3 and been surprised by how good it was on the road, it was time to see if a change of looks – and another hidden change – would make enough of a difference to pull us away from the winged wonder.
At the end of the day, is the 911 GT3 Touring just better for reversing?
